Don and Alan both strongly support the use of mediation and
alternative dispute resolution, and both have received their certification as
mediators from Northwestern University. Don is on the panel of major case
mediators for the Cook County Court system and has been a member of the panel
of neutral for the National Arbitration Forum since 2002. Don looks to use his
extensive experience in insurance coverage to provide mediation in that area,
as well as in general commercial disputes. In the insurance coverage area, Don
also offers neutral evaluations of positions taken by either policyholders or
insurers as a means of helping parties reduce costs and resolve disputes more
promptly.
Alan has been an active arbitrator on securities matters for
FINRA for a number of years.
